After having gone abroad last year in a successful edition in Lousiana, AI-ML systems this year comes back to its original home, in Bengaluru, where the first 3 editions were hosted. The AI-ML Systems Conference comes back home stronger and more participated than ever, having attracted a record number of submissions in all the venues of its program.

We have arranged an exciting five-day program for you at The Chancery Pavilion, Bengaluru. The program opens with Quantum Symposium on October 07th, followed by a full day of workshops on October 08th, while the main conference spans three days from October 09th through 11th.

The main conference includes keynotes by four highly distinguished researchers: Vineeth N Balasubramanian from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, on the 9th; Rahul Mangharam of the University of Pennsylvania and Ramesh Raskar, MIT Media Lab on the 10th; and Mausam from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi on the 11th. We have also arranged a banquet talk by Harrick Vin, CTO at Tata Consultancy Services on the evening of the 10th.

The main conference program is organized by Technical Program Committee (TPC) co-chairs, Neeldhara Misra, Rekha Singhal and Stefano Melacci. They have carefully selected 22 oral papers, 29 poster papers, and 5 invited speakers for the research track. Hence, going forward, we have expanded the scope and now present the Symposium Celebrating the Quantum Century (SCQC), which will be co-located with AI-ML Systems’ 25 conference and will encompass all four major drivers of quantum technology as of today: sensing, communications, computing, and materials. Given the developments happening in India through its National Quantum Mission (NQM), this symposium aims to also present the vibrant atmosphere of the Indian Quantum Ecosystem to its audience including the recent launch of NQM supported Hubs and Startups.

The goal of this symposium is to bring together quantum researchers, scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, developers, students, practitioners, educators, and programmers working in this field. Beyond these technical focuses, which may be primarily limited only to experts working in this field, it aspires to evangelize the evolution and impact of quantum technologies over these 100 years, to even uninitiated researchers, students, faculties, and industry professionals.

Over a two-day event, SCQC will feature keynotes from 9 stellar speakers: Prof. Nadia Belabas, Dr. Tobias Haug, Prof. Antoine (Jack) Jacquier, Prof. Fedor Jelezko, Prof. Anand Kumar Jha, Prof. Bhaskar Kanseri, Prof. Marcin Pawłowski, Prof. Rajamani Vijayaraghavan, Sai Vinjanampathy, and 5 contributory talks, 14 poster presentations, and an industry panel discussion session consisting of experienced panelists from IBM Research, TCS Research, QNu Labs and with a moderator from QETCI. Uniquely, SCQC will present two public lectures from Prof. Fedor Jelezko and Prof. Sai Vinjanampathy to its audience, as a special event, aimed at evangelizing the fundamental and potential technological impacts of this field. The accepted submissions can be found listed on our webpage, and those under accepted in the proceedings track will be archived in IEEE Xplore. We would like to thank our Technical Program Committee members whose efforts have enabled a technically detailed and highly competitive review process. As AI systems become increasingly embedded in everyday devices—from industrial sensors to autonomous vehicles—the need for intelligent, efficient, and responsive edge computing has never been greater. Processing data closer to its source not only enables real-time decision-making and reduces latency, but also enhances privacy and security for sensitive applications.

This year, EDGE-X 2025 places a special emphasis on the intersection of edge computing and neuromorphic technologies. By drawing inspiration from the human brain, neuromorphic systems promise to unlock new levels of adaptability and energy efficiency, paving the way for sustainable AI deployments at the edge. Our workshop is designed to foster dialogue and collaboration between researchers, industry practitioners, and technology enthusiasts, all united by the goal of advancing low-power, high-performance intelligence for real-world applications.

The programme features a dynamic mix of keynote talks, technical paper presentations, hands-on tutorials, and a thought-provoking panel discussion. Highlights include sessions on explainable AI at the edge, industrial and automotive use cases, and neuro-inspired approaches to embedded intelligence. The hands-on TinyML tutorial offers practical insights into deploying AI models on resource-constrained platforms, while our panel will tackle the pressing questions around the future and sustainability of edge AI.

We are proud to have assembled a diverse technical programme, thanks to the contributions of our speakers, panellists, and authors.
