She is an expert notably in semiconductor nanophotonics, quantum optics and photonic circuitry. She initially worked on broadband pulse-shaping, Fourier transform and multidimensional nonlinear spectroscopy. She then opened prospects in integrated classical and quantum photonics with innovative guided light manipulation and new parametric sources. Since 2016 she proposed and implemented quantum tasks with nonlinear waveguide arrays, semiconductors parametric and on-demand sources and beyond, both in the continuous and discrete variable framework. After finishing the habilitation in 2010 at Stuttgart University he was appointed as a professor of experimental physics in Ulm in 2011. His research interests are at the intersection of fundamental quantum science and quantum technologies. His research team is exploring applications of spin qubits in diamond for information processing, communication, sensing, and imaging.<br \/>Outside academia, he is involved in the development of quantum technologies based on spin qubits. Fedor Jelezko and his team could show that it is possible to create a hyperpolarization of nuclear spins in diamond or external molecules under ambient conditions. Such diamonds become visible in standard MRI machines and thus offer new perspectives for enhanced medical imaging. After doing a postdoc for about a year at the University of Rochester, Dr. Jha worked with Intel corporation for about two years and then joined IIT Kanpur as an assistant professor of Physics in 2013. Since 2022, he has been a professor of Physics at IIT Kanpur. Prior joining IITD, he was postdoctoral fellow at Institut d\u2019Optique, Palaiseau France, and earlier at Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Erlangen Germany. He received his PhD from University of Delhi and National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. He has more than 75 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and about 160 conference presentations and invited lectures in his credit. He has been awarded &#8220;Teaching excellence award-2022&#8221; and &#8220;Veena Arora Early Career Research Award-2022&#8221; by IIT Delhi for his teaching and research contributions. In 2023, he has been selected as member of The National Academy of Sciences India (NASI), and Associate fellow at the Indian National Science Academy (INSA). His notable contributions in Quantum security domain are realization of the longest quantum secure communication in the country in both fibre channel and in free-space channel. Later he worked as a post-doc at University of Bristol from which he returned to Gda\u0144sk in 2013 to start his own research group. Currently he is the head of Quantum Cybersecurity and Communication group at International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies. The topics oh his research range from quantum foundational, through quantum cryptography, to machine learning. His work also focuses on the simplification of quantum algorithms to make them more efficient and realizable with simpler experimental setups. He is currently leading several projects to build small to medium scale quantum <\/span><span>processors with funding from DAE, DRDO, TCS and DST. He is also the Lead PI for the Technical Group working on building superconducting quantum computers under the National Quantum Mission. He is a recipient of the Ramanujan Fellowship (2013-18) awarded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, and a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore since January 2024. At Efficient, Lucia leads the team in building and commercializing the world&#8217;s most energy-efficient general-purpose processor and the full software stack and compiler to make it useful for a wide range of applications. At CMU, Lucia is the director of the NSF CPS Frontier Center on Computational Nanosatellite Constellations, which is defining the next generation of in-space, constellation-scale cyber-physical systems platforms. He has played a key role in the deployment of AI software to a wide range of missions including: Autonomous Sciencecraft on EO-1, Earth Observing Sensorweb, WATCH on MER, IPEX, ESA\u2019s Rosetta, ECOSTRESS, OCO-3, EMIT, and the M2020 Perseverance Rover (with Rosetta and M2020 being $B missions). Dr. Chien has received numerous awards for these efforts. He has been recognized four times in the NASA Software of the Year competition (1999, 1999, 2005, and 2011). He has received four NASA Medals for his work in AI for Space (1997, 2000, 2007, 2015). In 2011 He was awarded the inaugural AIAA Intelligent Systems Award, for his contributions to Spacecraft Autonomy. He has wide experience in Artificial intelligence, Remote Sensing; satellite calibration, weather forecasting, land-atmosphere interaction, satellite wind retrieval and validation of satellite-derived vegetation indices. Most recently he has been working on AVHRR re-calibration project at NOAA and developed techniques to use IASI and AIRS radiance to mimic pre-launch environment. He is a leading member of the Team that has received NOAA\/STAR 2016 Award for outstanding service to WMO\u2019s Global Satellite Inter Calibration System (GSICS) community and Leadership of the NOAA GSICS Coordination Center.<\/p>\n<p>Manik holds a Masters degree in Machine Learning from the University of Maryland. He has served as an advisor to Look At Media.
