2. The Future of Computing: A TCS Research Perspective
Abstract:  Enterprise computing workloads are expanding rapidly, driven not only by AI/ML but also by demanding applications in science, engineering, and finance. GenAI workloads, in particular, must be carefully engineered to meet stringent requirements for accuracy, latency, and throughput on classical computing platforms. With a growing ecosystem of heterogeneous hardware, it is critical to deploy workloads intelligently to optimize performance and control costs.
At TCS Research, we explore emerging computing paradigms—many of which are poised to become mainstream within the next few years—that offer significant efficiency gains for specialized tasks. We also investigate hybrid approaches that combine classical and quantum algorithms to tackle problems considered intractable. Our booth showcases this vision for the future of computing and highlights innovations that will shape the next generation of enterprise systems.
