Transportation:
For out of state visitors, Baton Rouge Airport (BTR) is the closest airport and has the best ground transportation options to reach the conference. BTR airport is served by American, Delta, and United with direct flights from Atlanta (ATL), Charlotte (CLT), Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW), Houston Intercontinental (IAH) and Washington DC (DCA).
New Orleans Airport (MSY) has more accessibility but is about 75 minutes from Baton Rouge by car via I-10 Interstate. There are several limited ground transportation options available. There are also some train and bus options available, but they require interchanges and take a few hours.
The best option for conference attendees arriving at MSY is to take a taxi from MSY Airport to LSU in Baton Rouge.
