Prof. Marco Tarabini

Marco Tarabini is Vice Rector of the Lecco Territorial Campus and Full Professor of Mechanical and Thermal Measurements at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano. His work lies at the intersection of applied research, industrial innovation and technology transfer, with a particular focus on measurement systems, sensors, assessment of human exposure to vibration, biomechanics, and the development of technological solutions for industrial applications. He has served as Scientific Coordinator of the JRP MATT project, member of the Lecco Metalworking District Committee, Convenor of ISO TC108/SC4/WG13, member of the International Advisory Committee on HandArm Vibration, and founder of the Polilink@Lecco service. He has coordinated more than 40 research projects funded by public bodies and private companies, working closely with businesses, local institutions and industrial partners. He is co-inventor of six patents and author of more than 200 Scopus-indexed scientific publications. Throughout his career, he has actively promoted collaboration between universities, industry and local communities, fostering shared platforms for education, research and innovation.

Prof. Huzur Saran

Huzur Saran received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 1983 and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1990. He is a Professor with the Department of Computer Science, IIT Delhi. His research is in the areas of computer systems, security, and algorithms.

Debdoot Mukherjee

Debdoot Mukherjee is the chief data scientist and head of AI at Meesho, leading the development and implementation of AI strategies that enhance every aspect of the e-commerce marketplace. Under his leadership, AI and machine learning technologies at Meesho drive personalised product recommendations to boost demand, assist suppliers in effective product cataloguing and pricing, and optimise supply chain operations to improve fulfilment efficiency. With over 15 years of experience, Mukherjee has a rich background in building innovative AI products across social, mobile, and e-commerce domains. Before joining Meesho, he served as vice president and head of AI at ShareChat and Moj, where he spearheaded initiatives in recommender systems, multimodal learning, and advanced camera technologies. He also established the AI team at Hike Messenger, developing pioneering methods for conversational modelling in Indic languages and large-scale social graph mining. Earlier in his career, Mukherjee led machine learning efforts at Myntra, focusing on personalised search, product discovery, and marketing intelligence. He began his professional journey at IBM Research, specialising in enterprise search and information extraction. Mukherjee holds a master’s degree in computer science and engineering from IIT Delhi, graduating as a gold medallist. His expertise and leadership continue to influence the growth of AI capabilities in India’s dynamic tech ecosystem, particularly in advancing AI-driven efficiencies within e-commerce platforms.

Dr. Rajeev Rastogi

Rajeev Rastogi is the Vice President of Machine Learning (ML) for Amazon’s International Stores business. He leads the development of ML solutions in the areas of Search, Advertising, Deals, Catalog Quality, Payments, Forecasting, Question Answering, Grocery Grading, etc. Previously, he was Vice President of Yahoo! Labs Bangalore and the founding Director of the Bell Labs Research Center in Bangalore, India. Rajeev is an ACM Fellow and a Bell Labs Fellow. He has published over 125 papers, and holds over 100 patents. He currently serves on the editorial board of the CACM, and has been an Associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering in the past. Rajeev received his B. Tech degree from IIT Bombay, and a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas, Austin.

Hasta Vanchinathan

Hasta Vanchinathan is Head of Applied Machine Learning, EMEA at Cohere, where he works on post-training, continual pre-training and model customization to improve enterprise AI across agentic use cases, reasoning, tool use, vision and multilingual applications. He has more than 16 years of experience across AI research, engineering and leadership, with previous senior roles at Amazon, ThousandEyes/Cisco, ShareChat and Facebook AI spanning recommender systems, advertising, ranking and privacy-preserving ML. Hasta holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from ETH Zürich, where his research focused on machine learning and recommender systems, with work presented at venues including NeurIPS, AAAI, KDD and WWW.
